The Department of Political Science Brown Bag series will host its second speaker of the semester, James Bowen, Ph.D., at noon Friday, Oct. 12, in room 144 of McGannon Hall. Bowen will present "Ruling Amidst Crisis: The Politics of Instability in Ecuador." All are welcome.

Starting in 1996, Ecuador has had nine presidents in 16 years, three of who were removed from office before the end of their term. What are the causes of such rampant instability? What does this mean for the future of democracy in Ecuador and in the Latin American region?

Higher purpose. Greater good.
