Orthopaedic Surgery Grand RoundsEvent Details: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., October 14, Schwitalla Hall
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery will host a series of Grand Rounds at the following times:
- Berton Moed, M.D., professor and chairman, will present "Review Cases for SLOS," at 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, in Lecture Room 2 of Schwitalla Hall.
- Daemeon Nicolaou, M.D., instructor, will present "Basic Science OITE Review" from 8 to 9 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, in Lecture Room 2 of Schwitalla Hall.
- Randy Otto, M.D., will present "Shoulder OITE Review," at 6:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 15, in Lecture Room 2 of Schwitalla Hall.
The Department will also host a special lecture during the afternoon session of the Saint Louis Orthopedic Society Fall Meeting, to be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, in the third floor auditorium at the Saint Louis University Anheuser-Busch Institute (1755 S. Grand Blvd., St. Louis, Missouri, 63104.).
The session will begin with case presentations by the orthopaedic surgery residents of Saint Louis University and Washington University, lasting until 3 p.m.
Following the case presentations, Shepard Hurwitz, M.D., will present "Time and Other Silly Notions."
Hurwitz is executive director, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and Professor of Orthopaedics, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Missouri State Medical Association (MSMA) through joint sponsorship of the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society and the St. Louis Orthopedic Society. The St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society is accredited by the MSMA to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society designates this educational activity for a maximum of 3 AMA PRA Category I CreditsTM. Physicians should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

From I-64/Highway 40 or I-44:
Exit at the Grand Blvd.; south on Grand Blvd. to Shaw Blvd. (1 block south of I-44/Grand Blvd. interchange); west on Shaw Blvd. ¼ block to ABI parking garage entrance on right.
Enter building from top level of garage; proceed past registration desk to last hallway on left;
turn left to elevator on left; go to third floor; exit elevator; turn right and proceed down hall;
the auditorium is on right.
