Saint Louis University will host a fundraiser for the Himalayan Family Healthcare Project (HFHCP), founded by SLU alumnus Devi States, D.H.Sc., M.P.H., to help purchase medicine and medical supplies to be used during a medical trek in October 2012. It is the goal of the HFHCP to build a permanent healthcare facility in the Manang District near the border with Tibet.
The evening will feature delicious traditional Nepalese buffet, wine and soft drinks courtesy of Everest Café, Nepalese dancing, Nepali music, speeches and an auction of imported crafts. For more information, visit the Himalayan Family Healthcare Project website.
The event will take place from 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, in the Allied Health Professions Building. Tickets are $50 per person, and special donor levels are as follows:
