Stuart Kornfeld, M.D., David C. and Betty Farrell Professor in the department of medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, will present the Second William S. Sly Lecture at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 in the Health Sciences Education Union.

Lysosomes are the part of the cellular system that breaks down cell waste materials and debris. His talk is titled, "New Insights into the Mannose 6-Phosphate Lysosomal Enzyme Trafficking Pathway."
Kornfeld is a professor in the division of hematology and co-director of the Physician Scientist Training Program at Washington University.
A reception will follow in the HSEU lobby.
