Event Details: October 04, Center for Global Citizenship

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the English as a Second Language Program will host two presentations Friday, Oct. 4, in the auditorium in the Center for Global Citizenship.

Jun Lie, Ph.D, will present "From Global Competence to Global Citizenship" at 10 a.m. Lie is associate provost for International Initiatives, senior international officer and professor of applied linguistics at Georgia State University. A meet and greet with Liu will take place at 9 a.m. in the International Student Lounge in Des Peres Hall.

Kara McBride, Ph.D., will present "Multiple Paths to Multilingualism: How the Field of Second Language Acquisition is Plagued and Blessed by Diversity" at 3:30 p.m. McBride is an associate professor of Spanish.
