Inside Out Speakers Series

Event Details: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., November 05, Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center

The Inside Out Speakers Series will host Aaron Johnson, assistant professor of music, and the Chamber Music Society of St. Louis from 1-3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, in the Visitor's Center of the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center (ERDCC) in Bonne Terre, Mo.

Johnson will discuss the history and conventions of chamber music (performed by small ensembles) from the late string quartets of Haydn and Mozart to the present. The Chamber Music Society of St. Louis will perform selections of chamber music to accompany his talk.

The Inside Out Speakers Series brings talks, readings and performances to the SLU campus at the ERDCC in partnership with the Missouri Humanities Council with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
