The annual 200 Show, presented by the Department of Fine and Performing Arts Studio Art program, will open Friday, Dec. 6. An opening reception featuring the student artists will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the McNamee Gallery in the lower level of the Historic Samuel Cupples House. The exhibition will continue until Saturday, Feb. 1.
The 200 Show is an exhibit of student work created in the 200-level studio art classes. This includes beginning classes in drawing, painting, printmaking, design, graphic design, color theory, photography, ceramics, 3D design, metalsmithing, fibers and computer art. View the work of these students and get a sense of the range of imagery and processes that students work with in these studio classes.
This event is free and all are welcome. Gallery hours are noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The gallery is closed Dec. 18-Jan. 14.
