The 1818 ACC Program at Saint Louis University invites all 1818 ACC high school instructors, coordinators, administrators, and guidance counselors to the attend the Annual Pre-Service Summer Training Conference led by the 1818 ACC Program Staff and Saint Louis University 1818 ACC Departmental Liaisons on Thursday, July 31, 2014 or Tuesday, August 5, 2014 on the campus of Saint Louis University in the Busch Student Center..

The day will include continental breakfast, supporting materials, professional presentation by SLU faculty and 1818 ACC Staff, and a luncheon. Individuals wishing for the stipend reimbursement need to attend their required sessions as indicated on the schedule of events below. 

Parking and Maps

Complimentary parking available at the University's Laclede Parking Garage (3642 Laclede Avenue, St Louis 63103) at the corner of Grand and Laclede. Your parking will be validated at the event.

A campus map is available for download to help you navigate Saint Louis University's Frost Campus. Walking directions are available online to help navigate the walk from the Laclede Parking Garage to the Busch Student Center.

Session will provide the guidance for finding whatever you need in 3 clicks or fewer on the newly designed, interactive 1818 ACC web site, as well as what to expect from the 1818 ACC office's email communication plan.

Session identifies benefits to instructors, their departments, and their schools from teaching an 1818 ACC course, with special focus on the process of securing graduate tuition scholarships for 1818 ACC adjunct instructors, coordinators, and administrators.

The transition from high school and college can be rocky for students. Dr. Donna LaVoie will share her insights from working with incoming freshmen on how high schools can help prepare students for the transition to a post-secondary institution.
