2014 Chemistry and Physics Day Announced

Saint Louis University's 1818 Advanced College Credit Program announced the 2014 installment for the Annual Chemistry and Physics Professional Development Day.
The 1818 ACC Program invites all current high school instructors in the fields of science, specifically chemistry and physics, to attend the event on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Parks College. The event is complimentary for 1818 ACC instructors and costs $25 for all other individuals.
The event is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. with check in for the Physics presentation and complimentary breakfast. The morning session will feature a topical presentation by Saint Louis University's Dr. Vijai Dixit and Dr. Martin Nikolo.
At noon a complimentary lunch will be served for all participants and check in for the Chemistry in-service will begin. Immediately following lunch the Chemistry in-service will begin at 12:45 p.m. with a feature topical presentation by Dr. Chuck Kirkpatrick of Saint Louis University.
Attendees are encouraged to stay for both in-services, but are able to come for the morning session or afternoon session.
About 1818 ACC
The 1818 Advanced College Credit Program provides an opportunity for qualified high school juniors and seniors in partner high schools to begin experiencing the academic rigors of college course work while still in high school. In addition to receiving credit toward high school graduation for selected academic courses, students may opt additionally to dual enroll in courses approved for college credit through Saint Louis University.
