The Department of Neurology will present a Grand Rounds from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, in the SLU School of Medicine (1402 So. Grand Blvd.), Schwitalla Hall, Lecture Hall 1 (first floor).

Glen Fenton, M.D., will present "Absence: the Seizures, the Epilepsies."

Fenton is a professor of neurology at Saint Louis University. He received his medical degree and subsequently underwent residency and fellowship training in child neurology and clinical neurophysiology all at SLU, after which he joined the faculty for 20 years. During this time he directed the neurology medical school clerkship and became involved with the National Board of Medical Examiners and the Educational Subcommittees of the American Academy of Neurology and Child Neurology Society, where he developed expertise in examination development and assumed leadership responsibilities.

After spending five years at the University of New Mexico specializing in the management of complex epilepsy conditions affecting children, he recently relocated back to Saint Louis University, where he continues this effort.
