CTTL Workshop

The Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning will present a workshop, "Getting Started in Designing Accessible Course Materials," from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in room 253-B of Busch Student Center.

Workshop facilitators will be Karen Myers, Ph.D., with the Higher Education Administration in the Department of Education; and Michaella Thornton, from the Reinert Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning.

Workshop Description:

Working towards creating accessible print, web and multimedia course materials in one's teaching is a particularly important and inclusive piece of course design. Join Karen Myers, Ph.D., Universal Instructional Design (UID) expert, associate professor (Higher Education Administration, Department of Education) and director of the award-winning international disability education project, Allies for Inclusion: The Ability Exhibit; and Michaella Thornton, assistant director for Instructional Design and frequent regional and national presenter on creating accessible learning objects, for this interactive, two-hour workshop. No registration is required. Participants are asked to bring course materials and/or laptops, as this will be a hands-on, participant-led workshop.
