'English in the World' Series Lecture

Downton Abbey event flierAs part of its English in the World lecture series, the Department of English will presents "The DNA of Downton Abbey" from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in room 142 of Adorjan Hall.

This roundtable discussion with Ellen Crowell, Ph.D., and Ruth Evans, Ph.D., both of the English department, will uncover the literary, filmic and pop cultural ancestors lurking within the "DNA" of this popular BBC series.

English in the World (E@W) is a monthly lecture series for undergraduates that seeks to connect the discipline of English to wider cultural flashpoints and phenomena. All are welcome.
