Billiken Dining by Chartwells will host the 2014 "Eat Green. Live Green." Sustainability Fair between noon and 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at the Center for Global Citizenship. All events are free and no pre-registration is required.

Sample and meet local vendors - such as Companion Bakery, Gelato Di Riso, Kaldi's Coffee and Local Harvest - who have direct ties to Saint Louis University through Chartwells.

Attendees can also participate in free yoga classes with Lululemon throughout the day and hear a free "Ryan Chollet and Friends" concert at 5:30 p.m.

SLU and Billiken Dining will also demonstrate ways they engage in environmental-sustainability efforts, including Chartwells' "Love Food [Not Waste]" and "Project Clean Plate" programs; SLUstainability partnership; reusable and recyclable carry-out containers; cage-free eggs, free range chicken and pork; Seafood Watch; and fair trade coffee pledges.

There will also be an Ethical Coffee Talk with Kaldi's Coffee, where participants can discuss important world issues such as fair trade regulations and the reduction of carbon footprints.

To conclude the fair, Chartwells will feature a free community showing of the St. Louis-based "upcycling" reality TV show Salvage City at 7 p.m. Local stars from the Discovery Channel series will be present in the audience for this unique viewing experience.
