18th Annual DeLubac Lecture

The Department of Theological Studies will host the 18th annual DeLubac Lecture at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, in the Saint Louis Room of Busch Student Center.

Peter Nockles, Ph.D., assistant librarian of printed books and Methodist collections at the Methodist Archives and Research Centre at John Rylands University Library of Manchester, will present "The Oxonian Idea of a University: John Henry Newman's Formative Experience."

Nockles has been a visiting fellow at Oriel College, Oxford, and his publications include the highly-acclaimed study The Oxford Movement in Context: Anglican High Churchmanship, 1760-1857. He is also a major contributor to a new history of Oriel College, Oxford.
