Join the Ameren Corporation and Saint Louis University's John Cook School of Business for the annual "Ameren Sustainable Business Speaker Series" from 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at John and Lucy Cook Hall on the SLU campus. The event is free and open to the public, however reservations are required.
Keynote speaker Jean Ponzi of the Missouri Botanical Garden, will present "Sustainability Means Business" at 4:00 p.m. A networking reception will follow in the Shanahan Atrium. Parking is available in the University garages located at Grand and Laclede or Compton and Olive. Tickets will be validated at the event.
Jean Ponzi is an educator and Green communications specialist. Her current work for the Earth Ways Center includes promoting sustainable options for business, incorporating expertise with topics including recycling, composting and waste reduction; indoor air quality; native plant landscaping; energy efficiency, and green building. "Green Jean" also operates the Garden's Green Resources Answer Service
The Ameren Sustainable Business Speaker Series is a joint effort by the Ameren Corporation and the John Cook School of Business to educate the community about the importance and future of sustainability in business. The annual program highlights the efforts of both to educate current and future business leaders about the ethical responsibility of businesses to conduct their operations in a manner that most benefits the common good.
