Event Details: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., March 22, McGannon Hall, 3750 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO, 63108-3412

The Women's Studies Program will host the latest event in its Brown Bag Lunch Series from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, in room 144 of McGannon Hall.

Lewis Perry, Ph.D., professor emeritus, will discuss "Civil Disobedience and the Rights of Women."

Everyone is welcome and are invited to bring a lunch. Refreshments will be provided.

About the talk:

Perry's talk will be based on his book, Civil Disobedience: An American Tradition, to be published by Yale later this year. His talk will give a general view of what he is writing about in the book and then discuss significant historical parts of the suffrage movements, with a particular focus on one episode of tax resistance.

Higher purpose. Greater good.
