'Beyond Borders' Lecture

Charlotte Hill O'Neal will speak at the Center for Global Citizenship at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6. The event was sponsored by the Cross Cultural Center, African-American Studies Program, the Black Student Alliance and Student United for Africa and Atlas.

O'Neal will present "The Spirit of the Panther Lives on Through Art and Social Action." Her presentation will also include a screening of a short film titled Mama C, Urban Warrior in the African Bush" about her life as an artist and community activist.

Co-director of the United African American Alliance Community Center (UAACC), visual and spoken word artist, musician, filmmaker, original Black Panther and long time community activist, O'Neal will speak on her two decades of UAACC outreach and the Leaders of Tomorrow Children's home.

This event is part of the "Beyond Borders" series and is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
