Blue Mission and MinistryJoin the Division of Mission and Ministry for the spring Ignatian Lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 25, in the Multipurpose Room of the Allied Health Professions Building. 

Darina Sargeant, Ph.D., associate professor of physical therapy, and Cristina Stevens, director of Pastoral Care and Education, will discuss "Spirituality in Healthcare: Caring for the Whole Person."

Spiritual care of the person is a component of holistic and patient-centered care. Healthcare must address both health maintenance and healing. Holistic health demands understanding of the spiritual nature of the person in wellness as well as in injured or diseased states.

The speakers will address the journey to understanding spirituality in healthcare from the perspective of the healthcare professional and the consumer of healthcare.

Reservations are required and seating is limited.
