'Junior Rescuer Day'

Event Details: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., April 27, Saint Louis University Museum of Art

Join the fun as the Saint Louis University Museum of Art and Stray Rescue of St. Louis host Junior Rescuer Day on Saturday, April 25. The free-of-charge event begins at 11 a.m. and continues until 2 p.m. 

Junior Rescuer Day offers a fun-filled, educational event where the junior companion animal advocates will create their very own works of art, while using the Urban Wanderers art exhibition as inspiration. Urban Wanderers is a fundraising exhibition inspired by the hopeful recovery stories of Stray Rescue's abandoned and abused animals. The day will include:

Scavenger hunt: Search the exhibition to for clues located within the displayed artwork. Prizes will be awarded.

Art activities: Paint, design collages, and take part in a collaborative painting to be displayed at Stray Rescue's shelter.

Dog "art" demonstration: Stray Rescue shelter dogs will provide a live "paw painting" demonstration. Learn great tips to for making artwork and receive a dog painting starter kit.
