The 14th annual Billiken World Festival will cap off the 2014 Atlas Program from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, April 4, in the quad in from DuBourg Hall. In case of inclement weather, the Billiken World Festival will be held in the Center for Global Citizenship.
The Parade of Nations kicks off the Billiken World Festival activities and features Saint Louis University students carrying flags from around the world. At the Billiken World Festival, student organizations offer delicious foods representing their respective cultures, heritages and countries.
The festival also features live cultural music and dance performances. Previous festivals featured the Japanese taiko drummers, Middle-Eastern belly dancers, as well as dancers from Spain, Ireland and the Philippines. Departments and student organizations also highlight their international programs, research and service.
Register online to participate in the Billiken World Festival and reserve a non-food booth. The deadline to reserve a non-food booth is Friday, Feb. 28.
Students can also register online to participate in the Parade of Nations and carry a flag.
