The Anthropology Club will host a guest lecturer at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, in room 260 of McGannon Hall. Michael Holmquist, seminarian, will give a talk about his experiences in Kolkata, India. This event is open to the University community.
Holmquist studied at Saint Louis University for two years and is currently a seminarian at Kenrick Glennon Seminary. In the summer of 2012, Michael spent two months working with the poor in Kolkata (Calcutta), India. He will share what it was like to work side by side with Mother Theresa's own Missionaries of Charity, as well as insights he gained from his immersion in Indian culture. He will also share what this cultural experience of India has taught him about our own culture here in the United States.
