MOPROThe Midtown Grand Prix Bicycle Race will take place near the Saint Louis University St. Louis campus Friday, May 10. All are invited to come out and take part in this free spectator event. Professional bikers, as well as local competitors, will race through up-and-coming neighborhoods of St. Louis.

The junior race will begin at 3:15 p.m., and the professional race will kick off at 9:20 p.m. The entire event is expected to end at 10:30 p.m.

Parking will be prohibited on the race course streets from 1:30 to 11 p.m. Friday. Drivers are asked to make alternate parking arrangements on this date for the following street addresses:

  • 3300-3500 Locust Street 
  • 3100-3500 Washington Avenue
  • 3100-3300 Samuel Shepard Drive
  • Leonard Avenue between Locust Street and Samuel Shepard Drive
  • Cardinal Avenue between Washington Avenue and Samuel Shepard Drive

Alternate parking will be available on Olive, Lindell and Compton, south of Locust; and Garrison, T.E. Huntley and Samuel Shepard, east of Cardinal and West of North Leonard. A map of the race route can also be viewed online. Access to the Theresa lot, located behind The Fieldhouse, will be available only through Olive.
