Members of the Saint Louis University community can show their true colors this Friday when the Division of Human Resources sponsors Blue Spirit Day.
The spirit day is part of a human resources-led initiative to promote greater collegiality at SLU. The campaign unofficially got its start with last year’s Cannonball Picnic, and a number of other new efforts are in the works as well.
Faculty, staff and students can participate in Friday’s Blue Spirit Day by:
- Wearing SLU blue clothing
- Wearing blue jeans*
- Wearing the Blue Unity Mardi Gras Beads handed out by HR on Fat Tuesday
- Encouraging others to get involved by chanting "Blue Spirit? Let's See It!"
The Billiken will make some special appearances on Friday as well.
The last Friday of every month has been designated as a Blue Spirit Day as part of this ongoing effort.
* Note: The option to wear blue jeans may depend on your work environment or schedule for the day. Employees may want to check with their immediate supervisors to determine what's appropriate.
