Academic Portfolio Retreat
The Office of Faculty Affairs is pleased to announce the annual Faculty Academic Portfolio Retreat, which will be held on April 19 (8am-5pm) and April 20 (8am-1:30pm) at Il Monastero.
The retreat will be led by Dr. Marilyn Miller, former director of the University of Missouri Program for Excellence in Teaching and currently an educational specialist with the United States Department of Agriculture. Dr. Miller is co-author of Building an Academic Portfolio: A Guided Workbook. During the retreat, participants will write about, reflect on, and organize evidence of their teaching, research, and service, in preparation for promotion and tenure review processes.
All pre-tenured faculty are invited to attend, however space is limited. Faculty may be nominated by deans, department chairs, or they may also self-nominate.
While most of the costs of the retreat are paid for my the Office of Academic Affairs, participating faculty (or their departments) are asked to contribute $100.00 toward the operating costs of the retreat.
Nominations must be submitted to the Office of Faculty Affairs no later than March 22, 2013.
