Accessibility at SLU

Saint Louis University hopes to create a safe and supportive campus community for individuals with disabilities. The following resources are available for more information or assistance.

Saint Louis University's Center for Accessibility and Disability Resources facilitates academic accommodations for students with disabilities, with the exception of the law school, medical school, and Madrid campus, which offer their own resources.

Disability Resources provides information for current and prospective students, parents, and faculty about the academic accommodation resources and policies, as well as testing centers for equal access to exam accommodations.

Reinert Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning

The Reinert Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning works with instructors and academic units at SLU to promote accessible and inclusive courses for all students. It can help educators respond to accommodation needs, design more accessible courses, incorporate more inclusive teaching and assessment methods, and consider the accessibility implications of teaching with technology.

Canvas Accessibility Tools to Support Learners

Within Canvas, the University’s learning management system, there are a number of tools that make course materials more accessible for all learners. Both students and instructors can use the tool to increase accessibility. Learn more about those tools from ITS
