What advice would you offer to students during their college search and application processes?
My advice would be to start early. Many universities have early deadlines for various scholarships and competitive programs and you want to ensure you submit everything required in time to be considered. Also contact the admission office staff and don't be afraid to ask questions. We are here to help you through the entire process!

How long have you worked as an admissions counselor at Saint Louis University?
Since 2010.

What do you enjoy most about your work as an admissions counselor at Saint Louis University?
What I most enjoy is the opportunity to be a part of the process for students and their families. It's very rewarding to know that my assistance possibly helps a student make their educational objectives a reality.

Where is your favorite spot on SLU's campus?
SLU has many beautiful areas of campus. One of my favorite spots is down on the east side of campus by our Soccer complex. Looking to the West at sunset provides a beautiful view of College Church and DuBourg Hall at sunset.

What is your favorite restaurant (or entertainment venue) near SLU's campus that you recommend to students and their families?
Pappy's Barbecue!

What did you study as an undergraduate?
Mass Communication - Public Relations

Other than those regarding financial aid, what are the most common questions you receive from prospective students and their families, and how do you respond?
How safe is the environment at SLU? SLU has several items in place to ensure safety on campus, starting with the Department of Public Safety - a well staffed enforcement body for the university. I always encourage families to read more about safety here.
