What advice would you offer to students during their college search and application processes?
College is about discovering new things. Investigate all different types of colleges and see what is right for you. The more you put into it the better decision you will make. As for the application process, senior year is a very busy time so do not wait until the last minute.

How long have you worked as an admissions counselor at Saint Louis University?
This is my 16th year at SLU!

What do you enjoy most about your work as an admissions counselor at Saint Louis University?
I love working with young adults and letting them know the atmosphere of a SLU education. Students are looking for college at a great time in their life. The world is ahead of them. SLU is such a strong community, has academic excellence, and a great environment. It is a great mix.

Where is your favorite spot on SLU's campus?
I love the pond by the Chaifetz Arena. I love the stones from around the world, the waterfall, and the fish in the pond. It is a great place to walk and you can also see student relaxing and/or working out.

What is your favorite restaurant (or entertainment venue) near SLU's campus that you recommend to students and their families?
My favorite is Pappys but I also am a big Chick-fil-A fan and that is right on our campus!

What did you study as an undergraduate?
I studied Communication and Vocal Performance.

Other than those regarding financial aid, what are the most common questions you receive from prospective students and their families, and how do you respond?
I love when people ask me why I like SLU and why I have been here so long! I feel SLU does an excellent job not only caring about what you become, but also who you become. Both are important. We have amazing academics but faculty and staff care about the student and how they grow into leaders and caring adults. The community is SLU's strength and I love being a part of that.
