What advice would you offer to students during their college search and application processes?
Know the size of school you want in an area that is geographically comfortable to you (i.e. neither too close to or too far from home) and the selection process is simplified. Knowing your intended major helps even more. The biggest key is the visit, which will show how you'd fit in.

How long have you worked as an admissions counselor at Saint Louis University?
I started at SLU at the beginning of the Fall 2009 semester, and have worked in admissions for 15 years at three institutions.

What do you enjoy most about your work as an admissions counselor at Saint Louis University?
The best part is helping students and their parents understand that a SLU education is both valuable and affordable. It is fun when they have that realization.

Where is your favorite spot on SLU's campus?
The seats near the clock tower and fountains in the center of campus.

What is your favorite restaurant (or entertainment venue) near SLU's campus that you recommend to students and their families?
1. Pappy's BBQ. 2. Picklemann's Deli. 3. Best Steak House. 4. Jimmy John's. 5. City Diner. 6. Vito's. 7. The Fieldhouse. 8. Humphrey's.

What did you study as an undergraduate?
My undergraduate degree is a B.S. in English and my master's degree is an M.A. in Communication. I have started the Ph.D. program in Higher Education Administration here at SLU.

Other than those regarding financial aid, what are the most common questions you receive from prospective students and their families, and how do you respond?
The most common question is, "How many of my credits will transfer to SLU?" and the answer is usually, "Most of them!"
