AIMS auditorium presentations take place in a 400-seat theatre with a seventeen-foot high definition screen at Paul A. Young Hall on the Saint Louis University campus. Students are able to view human specimens in a "larger-than-life" setting as they develop an understanding of the structure and function of vital organs. All programs are presented by local health care professionals from different medical specialties.

Program Topics Include:

  • How the Body Works: A Study of Human Organs and Systems (recommended for middle school students)
  • The Human Reproductive System (recommended for HS students)
  • The Human Heart and Lungs
  • The Human Brain and Central Nervous System
  • Sports Medicine
  • The Muscles, Bones, & Joints of the Human Body
  • Forensic Science/ Autopsy (recommended for HS students due to content)

Often, schools will elect to view one of our auditorium presentations and then schedule a hands-on demonstration or dissection directly after to maximize on their opportunity to visit our facilities. If you want to maximize your time here at AIMS, please fill out the auditorium presentation registration form, and indicate which hands-on program you would like to participate in, following the lecture.
