Teachers and Parents - do you have an outstanding student interested in a medical career who would benefit from a challenging summer experience? Please consider recommending they attend one of our summer workshops! The workshops provide an in-depth look into various fields of medical science and are attended by students from across the country. Adventures in Medicine and Science Workshop - June 13 - 17, 2016

This workshop provides an overview of anatomy and introduction to careers in the health care field. Physicians and professionals from various medical specialties provide programs in their area of expertise using auditorium presentations, hands-on laboratory experiences, group interactions and patient interactions. All students have the opportunity to observe a live surgery during this workshop.

Workshop Details:

  • Tuition is $735, additional $700 for overnight-housing participants. Tuition includes AIMS polo, lunch on last day and fees for all specimens used during workshop. $700 overnight housing fee includes housing for the week, breakfast each morning, 2 dinners, tickets to the Muny and transportation costs. 
  • Enrollment begins November 2, 2015
  • Closes May 31, 2016.
  • A $100 deposit for admission must be enclosed with application materials. This fee will apply toward tuition and is refundable if the AIMS staff is notified by May 2, 2016.
  • Housing is only available to students who live outside the St. Louis metropolitan area.
  • Students must be entering their, sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school, or freshman year of college of Fall 2016.

AIMS Anatomy 101 Workshop

This workshop is designed for students entering 7th-10th in fall 2016. The two-day workshop provides introductory anatomical learning through high definition auditorium presentations, comparative dissections and other "hands on" programs. Students will have the opportunity to interact with physicians, anatomists, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals. If you are interested in science or medicine the workshop is a great way to sharpen your skills. So join us this summer on the Saint Louis University campus in Midtown St. Louis.


Workshop Details:
  • Tuition is $225 - Lunches and AIMS polo included with tuition.
  • Enrollment begins November 2, 2015
  • Full tuition must be enclosed with your application. This fee is  refundable if AIMS is notified by June 30, 2016. 
  • Students must be entering 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th grade in Fall of 2016
Introduction to Sports Medicine & Athletic Training Summer Workshop - July 11, 12 & 13, 2016

Sports Medicine & Athletic Training Summer Workshop

This exciting workshop is designed for students who have an interest in 

Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. In this 3-day workshop, participants will learn the roles of the physical therapist and athletic trainer, possible career opportunities, rehab techniques and much more.

Students will hear from physical therapists and athletic training professionals, physicians and other healthcare professionals as they discuss important topics in the sports medicine field. Students will learn about human anatomy and observe surgery demonstrations throughout the workshop.

This workshop is in partnership with Saint Louis University’s Department of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training; therefore, participants will also have the opportunity to visit for the department’s state-of-the-art facilities and will tour Chaifetz Arena for many hands-on activities to put what they have learned into action.

If you are considering sports medicine or athletic training for a career, you do NOT want to miss this exciting workshop. Spots will fill up fast, so register early!

Workshop details:

  • Tuition is $325, includes AIMS polo and lunch on last day. 
  • Enrollment begins November 2, 2015
  • Student must be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year of high school or their freshman year of college in Fall of 2016
  • A $50 deposit for admission must be enclosed with your application. This fee will apply toward tuition and is refundable if AIMS is notified by June 30, 2016
