|Registration|| This workshop provides an overview of anatomy and introduction to careers in the health care field. Physicians and professionals from various medical specialties provide programs in their area of expertise using auditorium presentations, hands-on laboratory experiences, group interactions and patient interactions. All students have the opportunity to observe a live surgery during this workshop.

This workshop is designed for students entering 8th-10th in fall 2014. The two-day workshop provides introductory anatomical learning through high definition auditorium presentations, comparative dissections and other "hands on" programs. Students will have the opportunity to interact with physicians, anatomists, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals. Students will hear from physical therapists and athletic training professionals, physicians and other healthcare professionals as they discuss important topics in the sports medicine field. Students will learn about human anatomy and observe surgery demonstrations throughout the workshop.
This workshop is in partnership with Saint Louis University’s Department of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training; therefore, participants will also have the opportunity to visit for the department’s state-of-the-art facilities and will tour Chaifetz Arena for many hands-on activities to put what they have learned into action.
