Dan Merlo

Dan MerloA&S 1992 // St. Louis, Missouri

Merlo is principal and co-founder of Intelica Commercial Real Estate. With 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Merlo has used his knowledge and experience to help grow Intelica from three employees to 34 employees within five years.  

How did your experience at Saint Louis University prepare you for your career and life after SLU?

My experience at SLU gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of great people and also strengthened my belief in service to others and helping people in need.

What is your favorite SLU memory?

Playing soccer for great teams and a great D-1 soccer program.

What are you most looking forward to about reunion?

Catching up with some people I have not seen in a long time.

Life at SLU prepared me in many ways, not only in the classroom, but perhaps equally in my extracurricular activities.

What is your favorite SLU memory?

My time with Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity and Oriflamme was priceless.

What are you most looking forward to about reunion?

Seeing those classmates with whom I spent so many days at SLU ... and meeting the NEW new Billiken!

Colleen BerdingHow did your experience at Saint Louis University prepare you for your career and life after SLU?

I learned to pay attention to trends in economics and to function in a multicultural environment as a study abroad student in France. I worked in the business world for 14 years and 15 years after my first graduation from SLU, I graduated from the Accelerated BSN program at the SLU School of Nursing. I use all of these skills into current job.

What is your favorite SLU memory?

I met my husband at SLU in 1990 at an 8 a.m. business law class.

What are you most looking forward to about reunion?

Seeing people I haven't seen in years.

A gift in honor of your reunion supports need-based scholarships, faculty recruitment, academic innovations, and unparalleled experiences. For your 25-year reunion, we're hoping to have at least 125 donor participants who will raise at least $30,000.

As of October 16, the Class of 1992's totals are: 1992 October updateAll gifts made from January 1 to December 31, 2017 – to any area of the University – will count in your class total. Please remember, every gift – no matter the size – is meaningful to SLU.

Enhance Your Reunion Gift:

Sustaining Gifts: A sustaining gift is an easy and affordable way to divide a larger gift into manageable payments. A gift of any amount can be scheduled monthly, quarterly or annually. For reunion campaigns, the full amount of a recurring credit card gift will be recognized for the class reunion gift. Arrangements for a sustaining gift may be made online, with the paper pledge form, or by calling 314-977-2341. 

Matching Gifts: Many companies offer gift-matching programs that can double or triple employees' or retirees' personal gifts.
