Corporate/Organizational Entrepreneur
- Individuals nominated in this category have
displayed the characteristics of entrepreneurship
and entrepreneurial leadership as a manager in
an existing business, corporation or organization.
- Emerging
- Founder or owner that is 40 years old or younger,
and has achieved entrepreneurial success and/or
overcame significant hardship during startup.
- Entrepreneurial
Business Venture - Individuals nominated
in this category have displayed the characteristics
of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial leadership
as the founder or owner of a firm with 100 employees
or less.
- High
Tech – Individuals nominated in
this category have displayed the characteristics
of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial leadership
as founder, owner, or top manager of a firm identified
as a high-technology business by the Organization
for Economic Co-operation and Development (pharmaceuticals,
aerospace, precision & medical equipment,
communications equipment, computers and office
automation).
- Large
Enterprise - Individuals nominated in
this category have displayed the characteristics
of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial leadership
as the founder or owner, of a company employing
more than 100 employees.
- Social/Civic
Entrepreneurship - Individuals nominated
in this category have displayed the characteristics
of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial leadership
in firms identified as charitable, religious or
not-for-profit.
