Donate Artifacts to the Parks College Tribute
Timeline
Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology is in the
process of creating a historic tribute timeline that will not only
map the history of Parks College and the Institute of Technology
(IT), but it will also serve as a tribute to the faculty, staff,
and students of both Parks and IT who have made legendary contributions
in a variety of industries and communities.
A brushed steel railing will be installed along the east-west hallway
of the McDonnell Douglas Hall and there will be reconfigurable displays--photos,
newspaper articles, 3-D models, and video displays--that will commemorate
specific historic contributions.
The timeline will not only be a fitting tribute to the heritage
of Parks College, but it will also serve as an inspiration to the
next generations of students who walk through the building and earn
their wings. The timeline display will be a tribute to the courage
of thousands of individuals who have not only advanced science and
technology, but also proved to the world that nothing is impossible.
Graduates of Parks College and the Institute of Technology are
encouraged to donate historic artifacts that they may have. The
Tribute Timeline is scheduled to open on Saturday, September 29
during the Parks College Open House.
If you would like to donate any 3D artifacts, please contact Susan
Bloomfield at 314-977-8431 or blooms@slu.edu.
