Blackboard Learn Maintenance, Outage Scheduled Jan. 4
Blackboard will be unavailable from 6 a.m. until noon Saturday, Jan. 4, while ITS applies an update to the service.
Information Technology Services will apply an update to Blackboard Learn on Saturday, Jan. 4, to address some high-visibility issues reported by our customers and update the database software. Blackboard will be unavailable from 6 a.m. until noon that morning, in accordance with the posted maintenance window.
Jan. 4 Updates:
- To Do module will no longer display due dates to students after they have been removed from an assignment
- Drop down menus that disappeared when making selections while using Internet Explorer are fixed
- Grading rubrics for group Wikis will display the selected criteria
- Performance and security updates are implemented
Tegrity Recordings can be viewed while Blackboard is undergoing maintenance by logging in directly at slu.tegrity.com. Until the maintenance is complete, logging in to Tegrity will take longer than normal and courses will display on the "Archived Courses" tab.
New recordings can be created offline and uploaded after the update to Blackboard is complete if the Tegrity Recorder has been prepared on the computer in advance. Directions can be found at the Tegrity support page on the ITS website.
