The Department of Education in the College of Education and Public Service has announced the addition of two teacher certification undergraduate programs: Secondary General Science Education and Secondary Biology Education.
Ann Rule, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Education, commented on the new programs.
"The addition of these programs is in response to numerous inquiries we've received in the past few years from students," Rule said. "The State has also encouraged us to make more science teachers available at the secondary level."
The Department of Education also offers the following teacher certification programs:
- Early Childhood
- Early Childhood Special Education
- Middle School (Science, Math, Language Arts and Social Studies)
- Secondary (Math, English, Foreign Language, and Social Studies)
- Elementary with Special Education (Mild/Moderate).
