Roofing Repairs Scheduled for DuBourg Hall

The sidewalk in front of the building will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, as repairs are made to the building's slate roof.

Kirberg Roofing will begin the slate roof repairs on the southeast corner of DuBourg Hall Monday, Jan. 20, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This will minimize the inconvenience that may be experienced by the building occupants.

The lift, needed to complete the work on the east elevation on Grand Avenue, will be in place on the sidewalk at this time, blocking the sidewalk from the main crosswalk to the north entrance of DuBourg. The south entrance will not be available for use at this time. Appropriate signage, barrier tape and a flag man will be placed at the site of the lift for safety purposes.

The lift will be moved to the sidewalk on the south side of the building to make the repairs on that side of the building Tuesday, Jan. 21. Golf carts usually plugged into the charging stations will need to be moved. To ensure there is no disruption in this service a temporary charging station will be staged in front of Griesedieck Hall for use.

Although it is anticipated the work should be completed by the end of the day Tuesday, unforeseen damages or weather conditions may result in extending the work schedule.
