Take a weekend of prayer and reflection and consider "God's Ever-Creative Touch: Our Evolving Universe" at the Faculty-Staff Retreat, March 11-13 at Mercy Center.
The weekend will be led by Corlita Bonnarens, R.S.M., director of the creative spirituality program at Mercy Center. Bonnarens has been sharing spirituality through the arts in a variety of retreats and workshops through the years. Her interest currently takes in the ever-expanding universe and God's tender mercy
Science is now supporting what people of faith have known for millennia: we are all connected, and what we think and do affects other people, affects the earth, makes a difference in the world. Through video, input and reflection and meditative watercolor painting experience, retreatants will consider what this means, individually and communally, and what difference it makes to people of faith.
The overnight retreat opens Friday at 7:30 p.m. and closes Sunday at noon.
It will be held at Mercy Center in West St. Louis County. The cost is $50.
The retreat is subsidized by mission and ministry. Reservations are requested by Feb. 15. For more information, contact Mary Flick at firstname.lastname@example.org or 977-2428.
