Center for International Studies Announces Award Winners

The Grueber Awards for Globalization was given four members of the SLU community who advance the global mission of the University.

The Center for International Studies has announced the 2013 recipients of the Grueber Awards for Globalization. The awards are given annually to members of the SLU community who share in the innovative and daring spirit of Johann Grueber, S.J., in advancing the international and global mission of Saint Louis University.

This years four honorees are:

  • Michel Barber, Ph.D., S.J., professor of philosophy and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences
  • Thomas Finan, Ph.D., assistant professor in the department of history and associate director of the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies
  • Matthew Jones, student majoring in international studies and political science 
  • Meiqing July He, student majoring in international studies and French
