Information technology services will offer free classes covering the basics of several popular Google Apps during the next couple of weeks: e-mail, calendar, documents and spreadsheets.
Classes are designed for hands-on learning specific to SLU staff and are held in the Lindell Office Building for those working on the north end of campus and in the Doisy College of Health Sciences (Allied Health Building) for those working on the south end of campus.
Some recent participant comments include:
- "I learned a lot about Google mail that I did not know, and that I have implemented since attending the class."
- "I thought I knew most everything about Google calendar but learning how to schedule a time for a meeting and then look at the availability of those invitees, for that time, will be very helpful for all the meetings that I schedule."
- "The little tricks that are not obvious when using the system were most valuable to me. These are items which allow me to use the system more effectively."
