Graduate Medical Education Poster Competition Winners Announced

The 5th Annual Graduate Medical Education Poster Competition was held in the Learning Resource Center on April 12. The competition was open to all current residents and fellows.
Six posters were chosen for awards based on their presentations and research design.
First place: Vijay Eranki, M.D.(endocrinology) "Leptin Binding Proteins in Mouse Cerebrovasculature: Identification of a Potential Leptin Transporter"; Edward Prodanovic, M.D. (dermatology) "The Use of the 1450-nm Diode Laser in the Nonablative Treatment of Acne Scarring in Fitzpatrick Skin Types IV-VI: A Prospective Clinical Study."
Second place: Sofia Chaudhry, M.D. (dermatology) "Prognostic Indicators and Nature of Invasion of Lentigo Maligna Melanoma compared to Superficial Spreading Melanoma"; Brooke Shadel, M.D. (dermatology) "Examining the Associations Among Family History, Knowledge, and Sunscreen Use in Adolescents Prior to Implementation of Sun Protection Outreach Teaching by Students (SPOTS) Intervention."
Third Place: Adrian Davis, M.D. (orthopaedic surgery) "Evaluation of Inter- and Intra-observer Reliability in the Determination of Hip Stability after Posterior Wall Acetabulum Fractures"; Maegan Wallace, M.D. (orthopaedic surgery) "A Prospective Evaluation of PTSD and Parent Stress in Children with Orthopaedic Injuries."
