Volunteers Needed for Nutrition Counseling
Senior dietetic students are in need of volunteers to participate in an individualized nutrition counseling session. These students, as part of their course work, are required to counsel individuals from the community to improve their counseling skills. All sessions will be videotaped for the purpose of reviewing the student's work.
Counseling will be conducted in room 2051 at the Saint Louis University Allied Health Building. Each counseling session will last 45-60 minutes.
Volunteers' will only be committed to recording what they eat for three consecutive days, filling out a diet history form and keeping all appointment times.
Anyone interested in this counseling opportunity should call or email the course graduate assistant, Lizzie Dum, in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 314-977-8523.
Please state which sessions you are interested in participating in, along with your preferred date and time. Volunteers will then receive a confirmation from a student counselor. Available one hour session focusing on heart health will take place at noon, 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16; Friday, Nov. 18; and Wednesday, Nov. 30.
