Power Shutdown Scheduled for May 27

During the outage, multiple buildings on the St. Louis campus will have no power nor cooling systems.

A building electrical shutdown is scheduled to occur Monday, May 27. The University will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday, so this shutdown will have minimum impact to persons on campus.

The shutdown is scheduled to start at 7 a.m. and last four to six hours. A map of the expected outages can be found online. The buildings affected are as follows:

Buildings that will have no power:

  • Ritter Hall
  • Tegeler Hall
  • Jesuit Hall
  • DuBourg Hall
  • O'Neil Hall
  • Pius XII Memorial Library and Lewis Annex
  • Cupples House
  • John and Lucy Cook Hall
  • Davis-Shaughnessey Hall
  • Verhagen Hall
  • St. Francis Xavier College Church and Parish Center
  • Simon Recreation Center
  • Griesedieck Hall
  • Clemens Hall
  • Walsh Hall

Buildings that will have power, but no cooling:

  • Shannon Hall
  • Macelwane Hall and greenhouse
  • Lecture Hall
  • Monsanto Hall 
  • Busch Student Center
  • Robert R. Hermann Stadium
