President’s Research Fund Competition Announces Next Round
The President's Research Fund (PRF) supports promising research projects that have strong potential to attract external grant funding.
$500,000 will be distributed in the next round to support research activity.
The deadline for this round of applications is May 2, 2011.
New This Round: Cross-College Collaborative Proposals Requested
While historically the PRF award has not exceeded $25,000, the May 2011 competition includes funding of up to $50,000 for four (4) projects that reflect cross-college collaborations. These awards are intended to support multidisciplinary collaborations across the Saint Louis University campus.
Eligible projects will cross traditional boundaries among academic disciplines and are expected to involve Co-Principal Investigators (Co-PIs) from different schools/colleges. Successful applications will effectively convey how the particular disciplines contribute synergistically to the project, and how the project will advance the field(s).
A multiple-PI approach is required, but the application must indicate which PI will have administrative responsibilities (including communication with the Division of Research Administration).
Further details regarding eligibility and requirements are available in the PRF guidelines and application template, accessed through SLU Electronic Research Services (eRS), at https://ers.slu.edu.
