Resources, Policy Available Protection of Minors
Members of the University community who work with people under the age of 18 who aren't SLU students are asked to read the policy.
As part of its mission, Saint Louis University offers a number of programs that serve persons under the age of 18 who are not enrolled as SLU students. The SLU community must ensure that its programs and operations do not pose a risk to the safety of the minors who participate in them. Because the University is committed to providing safe academic environments for all its students, faculty, staff and visitors, a policy specifically for the protection of minors has been approved and is being implemented.
The Policy for the Protection of Minors applies to all members of the University community, as well as volunteers and others, who engaged in activities and programs that serve or include minors on campus, as well as University-sponsored activities that take place off campus. All those who are involved in activities, events or programs that involve minors who are not enrolled as SLU students are asked to take a few moments to read through the policy and take note of the steps that must be taken to protect the safety of those minors. It is the responsibility of every SLU program to review and implement the policy as appropriate for individual programs involving with minors.
Resources related to implementation of the Policy, and other educational tools for those who are engaged with minors are available on the Protection of Minors website.
