Information Technology Services will maximize performance on the Billiken Wireless Network at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, by removing outdated bands from broadcasting. As of that time, the 802.11b band will no longer be broadcasting for the SLUNet or SLUGuest networks.

The last few years have brought a growing number of customers on the Billiken Wireless Network. The explosion of hand-held wireless devices along with continued use of wireless by laptops requires ITS to maximize the performance of the wireless network for the population of SLU.
