Student Success Center to Offer Dissertation Writing Retreats
Students writing dissertations have an additional form of support this summer. University Writing Services, housed within the Student Success Center, will be offering two dissertation writing retreats.
These three-day Dissertation Summer Camps will be offered twice (May 27, 28 and 29, and June 8, 9 and 10, with an option day on June 11). Each day of the camp will last from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Open to graduate students from across campus, the retreat will offer structured time to write, writing strategies, and one-on-one feedback for select attendees. Both sessions of the retreat will be held in Xavier Hall 234.
You can sign up for either retreat at the University Writing Services calendar and events page.
Each agenda for the retreat will feature writing guidance in the morning and structured time to write in the afternoon. Topics will include writing habits, setting goals and formatting.
Participants will also be able to provide input concerning the agenda prior to the retreat. Participants will be able to receive a half hour of individualized feedback from the director of University Writing Services. These feedback sessions will take place in the afternoon.
Please sign-up for the retreat here.
If you have questions, you can email the director of University Writing Services, Alex Wulff, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
