Reminder: Submit Fall Dependent Tuition Remission Applications

SLU faculty and staff should apply for dependent tuition remission in March in time for fall enrollment in the University.

The spouse and children (natural or adopted) of any full-time faculty, staff or faculty emeritus are eligible for benefits under the University's Tuition Remission Plan.

Eligible participants may apply for the Dependent Tuition Remission benefit online through the University Banner Self-Service.

The suggested deadline to apply for tuition remission is in March, before the student's fall semester of enrollment at the University. Note that the application process requires that employees apply only once for dependent tuition remission benefits. If approved, the application will remain in place until benefit recipients no longer meet the eligibility requirements. That includes:

  • Dependent child reaches age 25
  • Dependent child or spouse receives their degree
  • University faculty or staff employment terminates
  • University faculty or staff no longer meet the eligibility requirements
