Get Fit with IRON-SLU Triathlon

Campus Recreation announces a fitness incentive program for the SLU community.

Starting Monday, Jan. 28, all current Saint Louis University students, faculty and staff, as well as current members of the Simon Recreation Center, are eligible for participation in the IRON-SLU Triathlon.

The goal is to accumulate "ironman" distances of 2.5 miles swimming (32 lengths per week or 4.5 lengths per day), 120 miles bicycling (22.4 miles per week or 3.2 miles per day) and 26 miles running (5.24 miles per week or .75 miles per day) during the five-week program. Participants accumulate mileage on their own (at any facility) and self-report their totals weekly.

For more information or to register, contact Khannie Dastgah at dastgahk@slu.edu. All participants who actively engage in the program will earn a water bottle, an IRON-SLU T-shirt and are eligible for awesome raffle prizes. Why participate? Because it's free, fun and cross training is a great way to workout.
