The Department of Theology Studies is collecting donations to help provide educational programs for refugee children. The SLU community is invited to give to the cause by Friday, Sept. 27.

Syrian refugee children in Jordan receive school kits to continue their education. The Department of Theology will raise money for an education program for Syrian refugee children, which is being run by the Catholic Relief Services, and members of the SLU community are encouraged to donate to the fund before Friday, Sept. 27.

To donate, bring cash or checks made payable to "Catholic Relief Services" to Cassie Cantrell in room 124 of Adorjan Hall. Donations can also be made via credit or debit card using the Catholic Relief Services website. Donators who give using credit or debit are asked to inform Cantrell of their gift at They don't have to share how much, but any amounts that are reported will be added to the total, which will be announced at the end of fundraising period.

It is doubtful that the entire Saint Louis University community is in agreement about what to do about Syria, but all can agree to show love for fellow human beings, especially the children of this worn-torn country.
