"Better Mus’ Come: Religion, Music, & Politics in the Caribbean"

Dr. Teruyuki Tsuji is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Saint Louis University's Center for Intercultural Studies. His research focuses on religion in ethnic and transnational identity among African and South Asian diaspora populations in the Caribbean, and in West Indian immigrant communities in the United States. He will speak on how religion, music, and national politics have mutually informed one another in the Anglophone Caribbean, particularly Jamaica, with special attention to reggae.

Higher purpose. Greater good.
